Ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα

Παραγωγή Ενζύμων – Κατιούσα επεξεργασία. Ανάπτυξη μεθόδων και διεργασιών καθαρισμού ενζύμων υψηλής αξίας, με δυνατότητα εφαρμογής σε βιομηχανική κλίμακα.

Βιομιμητικά μόρια. Σχεδιασμός, σύνθεση και μελέτη βιομιμητικών μορίων και συνθετικών υλικών χρησιμοποιώντας μοριακό μοντελισμό και βιοϋπολογιστική. Εφαρμογή στον καθαρισμό ενζύμων με τεχνικές βιολογικής αναγνώρισης.

Ακινητοποιημένα ένζυμα και βιοαισθητήρες. Σύνθεση και μελέτη συστημάτων ακινητοποιημένων ενζύμων. Εφαρμογή στην ανάπτυξη μεθόδων και στην κατασκευή βιοαιθητήρων για τον προσδιορισμό μεταβολιτών και ξενοβιοτικών ενώσεων (π.χ. φαρμάκων, αγροχημικών, κ.λπ.).

Πρωτεϊνική μηχανική. Ανασχεδιασμός και τροποποίηση της πρωτεϊνικής δομής με τεχνολογία ανασυνδυασμένου DNA. Μοριακή μελέτη του μακρομορίου και δημιουργία βιοκαταλυτών με νέες ιδιότητες.
